Kanjeevram Silk

A Kanjeevaram Saree, also known as Kanchipuram Silk Saree, is one of India's most cherished traditional weaves, known for its luxurious silk, rich colors, and intricate zari work. Woven in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, it features contrast borders, gold or silver zari motifs, and temple-inspired designs like peacocks, lotus, elephants, and checks.

Made from the finest mulberry silk and pure silver zari, it’s known for its thick, glossy texture and long-lasting durability. The body and border are often woven separately and then joined with a strong zigzag technique—an art in itself.
